1. £1.2 million pocket watch owned by Gandhi
Antique, well-loved and now historic, this pocket watch once owned by freedom fighter Gandhi and represents much more than a means of time keeping.
2. $1.4 million Patek Philippe perpetual calendar wristwatch
A fine model from 1944, this wristwatch is made from stainless steel and is water resistant. The highest bidder for this piece was a Swiss museum, a country infamous for its craftsmanship of timepieces.

4. £3.5 million Duc D’Orleans Sympathique clock
Although not technically a wristwatch, this distinguished example of the exceptionally rare Sympathique clock is based on the system invented in 1795 which contains both a clock and a watch. The clock is designed to hold the watch in its cradle.
5. £6.7 million Henry Graves “supercomplicaton”
Known as the most complicated watch ever made, the supercomplication is an 18 carat gold pocket watch made in 1932 that took four years to produce. The watch has 24 “complications,” or mechanical features which go beyond basic timekeeping, including a different chronological function for each hour of the day.
6. £15 million Chopard 201-Carat Watch
This is the world’s most expensive watch, but as you can see this exquisite piece is more about style than substance. Made of a 15 carat pink diamond, a 12 carat blue diamond and 11 carat white diamond in addition to white and yellow gold and other smaller diamonds, the final carat total comes to 201.
