A treasured wrist watch made with tender loving care can last for generations, but sometimes all good things must come to an end.
In order to keep your watch in full working order, it should be cleaned and parts repaired, but after a certain amount of time some spare parts can be hard to come by, leaving your trusted wrist watch to lose its sparkle and shine, or in some instances become altogether unusable.
The good news is that Michel Herbelin are running a trade in scheme, meaning that if you have a broken or unloved Michel Herbelin watch, you can upcycle it to a brand new Michel Herbelin watch with a full two year warranty. If you’ve had your eye on a model from the new collection then this is something not to be missed.
Around 10 years after a watch is manufactured, certain spare parts are no longer available from the Michel Herbelin factory, meaning that it may not be possible for the watch to be repaired. This means that upcycling and receiving value for an old Michel Herbelin watch is a much more viable option; and you can update your look at the same time!
Traded in watches are useful to Michel Herbelin watch makers even if they are no longer able to be used; although the movement may be obsolete and can no longer be serviced, other parts can be used such as the dial, the links or clasp. This keeps other watches going for as long as possible when they are sent in to us for repair that may not be as old or well worn.
Most of the watches sent in through the upcycle scheme have been so well loved that they can’t be refurbished or resold so their value is in spares; we love seeing the old styles and models too.
How it works
It doesn’t matter whether your watch is working or not, Michel Herbelin will provide you with a minimum of £50 value when you trade in.
When your watch is received at Michel Herbelin UK, your watch will be assessed and you will then be contacted by email to confirm the trade-in value we can offer (minimum of £50). Next you will be given a unique code for the total amount of value you can apply to a new watch, which you will be able to use at our online checkout. The trade-in voucher code will be valid for 6 months and for one purchase only.
If you aren’t happy with your trade in value, or you decide that parting with your Michel Herbelin watch wasn’t the right decision, you have the option to not accept the trade-in offer. Your old watch will be returned to you, free of charge, within 5 working days.
If you are interested in taking part in the Michel Herbelin upcycle scheme, please fill out this form and post it along with your watch, preferably by recorded or special delivery to the address listed below.
