With each Michel Herbelin watch carefully hand made by expert watch makers, quality and durability is always kept in mind.
Made with precision and attention to detail at the Michel Herbelin factory in Charquemont France, each watch goes through rigorous testing before leaving the factory ensuring that Michel Herbelin’s high standards continue.
Containing Swiss movements, the interior workings of a Michel Herbelin watch are unique and complicated, and of the highest technical reliability. Founded on the principle of precision, Michel Herbelin believes a wrist watch should continue to be accurate and reliable throughout its lifetime.
Michel Herbelin’s Two Year Warranty
All Michel Herbelin watches come with a two year manufacturer’s warranty and are subject to normal conditions of use. The watches are guaranteed to be free from any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship. Should a malfunction occur during the 24 month period, Michel Herbelin will carry out a repair on your watch, ensuring it is returned to its full working order.
What isn’t covered?
Like most watch warranties, the Michel Herbelin warranty primarily covers the movement of the watch. To know whether your problem is included under the warranty, you should be aware that the limited 24 month warranty covers all parts of the watch except for:
- The battery
- Leather strap
- Consequences of normal wear and tear
- Aging of the watch
- Defects deriving from accidents (knocks, crushing etc)
- Mistreatment (including submersion in water)
- Use of non-prescribed batteries, dead batteries left inside the watch and damage caused by unauthorised third parties are also excluded from the warranty
The warranty also does not include transport, carriage, postage or insurance costs, so please keep this in mind when sending your wrist watch.
Should your watch require some general TLC; from a new strap to a complete watch overhaul, or alternatively you are outside of your warranty period, Michel Herbelin UK has an in-house workshop for all your repair needs. Expert watchmakers will be able to carry out work on your watch to the very highest standards to meet your request. Your watch will be inspected and you will be contacted within a few days with a written estimate.
It is worth remembering that although your watch may still be ticking, everything may not be functioning as well as it should be, so a service every 3-5 years is recommended.
Sending your watch
Should you wish to have your watch repaired under the warranty period, please send your watch by Special Delivery (we recommend this method as it is insured, tracked and signed for) post to-
Michel Herbelin UK Ltd, P.O. Box 6503, Epping, Essex, CM16 7FW
Please also include a completed guarantee card, proof of purchase, and a covering letter with your contact details (name, address and telephone number). If you are wishing to have a repair carried out under warranty, please also send your completed warranty card, stamped by an authorised dealer.
As with all fragile items, please take extra care of the watch when sending it in the post. We don’t recommend sending it in its original gift box, but instead securely wrapped inside a small cardboard box or jiffy bag to protect it.
